Nigerian Military School (NMS) Admission form 2020/2021 begin.

The Online Application for Admission into The Nigerian Military School Zaria www.nms1954.sch.ng for the 2020/2021 session has Commenced. Application commences on 1st March 2020, and closes 9th March 2020. Entrance examination is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 16th May 2020 at all designated examination centres nationwide.

ORIGIN

The Nigerian Military School Zaria, founded as the Boys-Company of Nigeria in 1954, was established under the auspices of Nigerian Regiment Training centre of the Royal West African Frontier Force (RWAFF). The school was established along with three others in the British Colonial West Africa in Gambia, Gold Coast (now Ghana), and Sierra Leone. It was modeled after the Boys Wing of the British Army. The present day Military School came into being on May 20, 1954.The Boys Company as it used to be called was established as a full-fledged training institution under the regimentation and administration of the defunct Nigerian Regimental Training Centre (NRTC) now Depot NA.

The Nigerian Military School gives its students both academic and military training. Every boy soldier as the students are called has one day a week dedicated strictly to military training while the other four days of the week are dedicated to academic training. Similar to other secondary schools, the students sit for the West African Senior School Certificate Exam prior to graduation. The students also have the privilege to earn a commission into the Nigerian Army as private soldiers on the successful completion of their training and graduation from the secondary school
STEPS TO APPLY FOR ADMISSION INTO NMS 

Interested candidates are to visit NMS portal at www.nms1954.sch.ng and click the APPLY tab.
Click the BLUETAB to open the Application page and read the instructions carefully, then click the START button.

Follow steps 1 – 4 of the application process to fill in all the required data and click the GENERATE FORM button to generate candidate’s form and open the PAYMENT ADVICE page.
At the payment advice page, payment can e made through:

Online using bank issued ATM Card. Click the PAY ONLINE button on tpayment advice page and you shall be redirected to the Interswitch platform to complete the payment.
Bank Branch Click PAY AT BANK button and wait for a few seconds for your details to be forwarded to the bank in advance, then print the payment advice and take it to any of the banks listed to make payment. After making payment, return to the portal to complete the Online Application.

Candidates can submit their forms on the portal only when payment is confirmed and a valid Passport-sized photograph is uploaded.
After the final submission, Candidates are advised to print clear copies of their Application Form, Payment Advice Slip and Examination Photo Card from the portal. Candidates MUST present their Examination Photo Card at the Examination Centre on the day of Entrance Examination.

Nigerian Military School (NMS) Entry Requirements
The Candidate must be a male Nigerian.
The Candidate must be at least 12 years old and not more than 14 years old by September of the year of entry.
The Candidate must have completed Primary School education.
The Candidate must be medically and physically fit.
