This are the military academies in Africa...

 Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA)
The only Military academy  in Nigeria,located in kaduna, Nigeria The NDA was established in January 1964 as a reformation of the British run Royal Military Forces Training College (RMFTC), which had been renamed the Nigerian Military Training College (NMTC) on independence. The military institution trains the officer corps of the Nigerian Army, Navy and Air Force. The initial class was only 62 cadets, and trainers were mostly officers in the Indian Army. The NDA grew to an all Nigerian training staff only in 1978.  In 1981 itself began training bilateral training of foreign militaries. In 1985 the academy commenced offering undergraduate programmes to Military Officers In Training and now also currently offers post graduate studies both for Msc and Ph.D for both military and civilian students alike. The central mission remains the five year cadet officer training "Regular Combatant Course", although from 2002, a four year military programme is also offered. As of 2008, its total cadet class is around 1500.It also trained cadets from other African countries.







Ghana Military Academy
The Ghana Military Academy is the military academy of the Ghana Armed Forces. It offers basic military training to officer cadets from the Ghana Army, Ghana Navy and the Ghana Air Force. The academy is based in Teshie in the Greater Accra Region.





South Africa
The South African Military Academy is based on similar principles to that of the Military Academy system of the United States (United States Military Academy United States Naval Academy United States Air Force Academy). The Academy is a military unit of the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) housing the Faculty of Military Science of the University of Stellenbosch.

It provides officers of all the Arms of Service an opportunity to earn a BMil or more advanced degrees.




Egypt
The Egyptian Military Academy (Arabic: الكلية الحربية‎) is the oldest and most prominent military academy in Egypt and Africa. Traditionally, graduates of the Military Academy are commissioned as officers in the Egyptian Army. However, they may serve in other branches and commands of the Egyptian military establishment.

The Military Academy contains branches, which provide additional training and skills. It also features a prolonged study system so as to graduate more elite officers to serve in the 1st Army and Special forces, such as the Branch of Military Arts and Thunderbolt School.

Uganda
The Uganda Military Academy, is a military academy in Uganda, East Africa. Traditionally, graduates of the Military Academy are commissioned as officers in the Uganda People's Defence Force. Other African countries also send their cadets to the academy for training.




Tanzania Military Academy
The Tanzania Military Academy (TMA) is a military training academy located in Monduli in northern Tanzania.[1] It is regarded as a prestigious training institution[2] and has trained officers from a number of countries across the region.The academy was constructed with assistance from the Government of China and was formally inaugurated by President Julius Nyerere in 1976. At inception, it was known as the National Leadership Academy (Swahili: Chuo cha Taifa cha Uongozi) before being renamed to its present name in 1992 after the country's transition to multiparty system. Over the years, it has trained officers from Kenya, Lesotho, Seychelles, South Africa, Zambia and Uganda.






RWANDA
RMA GAKO

Rwanda Military Academy Gako Campus is located at 50 Km SE of Kigali City and 20Km from the Burundian Border. The school is constructed in a military domain of about 30 sq km. The infrastructure that accommodates the Academy was established in early 1960’s as a detachment for soldiers of the then “Garde National”. In 1974 it was transformed into a training center for recruit.

After the 1994 liberation war, the centre was used as a re-organisation area for the former Rwandese Government Forces (Ex-FAR) who were later integrated in the RPA now the Rwanda Defence Force.

In 1999, it became Gako School of Infantry and admitted the first Cadet intake. The School developed into the present Rwanda Military Academy in the year 2000 with the assistance of the Kenya Military Advisory Training Team (KMATT). The Academy offered Command and Staff Courses at different Officer and NCO’s levels until 2001 when RMA Nyakinama Campus was established.

To day Rwanda Military Academy Gako Trains Commanders at level of Company, Platoon and Cadet Officers. It also conducts PSO pre-deployment training for units preparing for Peacekeeping missions








Libya
Benghazi Military University Academy is a military academy in Benghazi in Libya.




Tunisia
The Military Academy is an establishment of high military teaching, in charge of providing to the student officers of the land army, the central organs of the Ministry of National Defense and other Ministries a military, moral and scientific training in the following disciplines
